In addition, TD Bank and its subsidiaries offer customized private banking and wealth management services through TD Wealth , and vehicle financing and dealer commercial services through TD Auto Finance Department Overview Job Profile Summary The AML Group Manager manages the daily activities of an assigned group related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and/or Customer Identification Program (CIP). Manages staff, providing direction, setting goals, evaluating results and ensuring that overall departmental goals are attained. Ensures that ongoing activities are performed according to established policies and procedures. Leads the development of group policies and procedures and assists staff with complex questions and issues as necessary. Job Description Manages multiple, broad, and large scale teams Meets with business unit partners and business leaders to determine AML strategies and directs the compliance culture Determines and decides policy and/or action based on internal and external industry developments for AML Programs Works with executive team, senior business unit management/partners to develop proactive strategies, tactics, policies and programs to effectively manage regulatory/compliance issues Maintains highly specialized expertise and in depth knowledge to manage AML programs for multiple, significant complex businesses, functional areas and/or global business lines Provides insight, guidance, and recommendation on AML subject matter, regulatory and industry issues and acts as a specialized resource to other departments based on subject matter expertise Provides explanation and/or resolution for business/Compliance management based findings Manages day to day operations of the department and participates in enterprise wide or Customer focused special projects Determines compliance policies and procedures to ensure the business units ongoing compliance with applicable laws/regulators and identification of non-compliant behavior Understands TDBG brand issues/parameters and guide others to protect the reputation and interest of TDBG by adhering to operating standards and processes Coordinates and support activities as necessary Liaises with industry regulators (e.g. SROs, provincial securities commissions, provincial / federal insurance regulators), associations, related parties and counterparts at other financial institutions on compliance, policy and audit matters including analysis, interpretation and execution, in an effort to bring about outcomes that are beneficial to TDBG businesses Manages relationships and work closely with management to provide guidance, expertise, counsel, policy direction and education on compliance requirements and related issues and to channel conflict among internal partners to ensure consistent compliant outcomes Acts as the key compliance contact for internal and external audits and between businesses and the regulatory authorities that govern them Consults with TDBG business partners and work closely with support groups (e.g. Legal, Govt. Relations, Audit, Ombudsman etc.) in the development and execution of Compliance related communication plans and establishment of industry positions within AML Encourages and fosters positive working relationships with internal business partners and an environment of ongoing employee development and feedback Contributes to the ongoing development of the team by sharing information, knowledge, expertise and lessons learned on a regular basis Communicates AML plans and related processes for multiple/key or global business units Interacts with executive management about AML issues Establishes AML framework consisting of appropriate training programs / procedures and controls to manage their AML risk Requirements Bachelors degree or progressive work experience in addition to experience below 10
years related or equivalent experience Highly organized and well developed skills in negotiating and influencing with the ability to deal with conflicting points of view and to effect creative and responsive solutions Ability to oversee and direct others Strong decision making and problem solving ability Ability and comfort in dealing with all levels of employees and executives within TDBFG, as well as with regulators Superior written communication skills, including drafting reports, policies and procedures Ability to work independently thinks critically, make decisions and manage deadlines while multi-tasking between different projects High level analytical skills and ability to think strategically Previous project management and leadership skills Ability to delegate work to others and manage multiple projects Ability to operate in an evolving, often ambiguous, environment Employee development skills and experiencerequired Ability to translate regulations and policies into business acumen Proficient in all PC skills Exercises good judgment Must be eligible for employment under regulatory standards applicable to the position. Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Risk & Quantitative AnalysisEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
