Quick Apply Full-time 2 hours ago Full Job Description The Funplex Mount Laurel, a part of Lahn Hospitality and Amusement Group, is seeking a full-time experienced General Manager for its Dual Branded Hawthorn Suites and LaQuinta Hotel.
About The Funplex Mount Laurel Since 1997, The Funplex has owned and operated an amusement park company with three locations along the East Coast.
Two locations are in New Jersey with one additional small footprint park in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina which opened in 2021.
The family-owned and operated parks are a combination of family-friendly and thrill amusement rides, waterparks, bowling centers, and arcades.
In addition, The Funplex will be opening a dual branded hotel, La Quinta and Hawthorn Suites, on its Mount Laurel property slated to open late Spring of 2023.

The LaQuinta and Hawthorn Suites property will be a select service hotel complete with 125 rooms, an indoor swimming pool, exercise gym, a meeting space, and limited food service including breakfast buffet.
Position Description The General Manager (GM) is the on-site, professional leader of the operation and sales team of the hotel.
This position is responsible for all aspects of the hotel operation including providing support and mentorship of the management team and front-line staff.
The GM is also responsible for achieving hotel profitability through revenue generation while managing costs.
Specifically, the GM will hire, train and supervise the maintenance, housekeeping, security officer and front desk staff.
The GM will also keep an open line of communication for all the needs of any guests that will be visiting The Funplex during their stay.
Job Responsibilities Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the physical property through inspections and preventive maintenance programs with department managers.
Understand market conditions impacting hotel operations and performance with the ability to identify, recommend and assist in implementing revenue generating opportunities.
Ensure that all appropriate information for financial documents is received by the Corporate Office monthly, in compliance with the monthly accounting calendar.
Lead weekly meeting with management staff to go over guest reviews.
Provide leadership support and direction to the sales team and take an active role in the hotel's marketing plan.
Motivate, coach and train team members and set goals and accountability, providing appropriate feedback, rewards and recognition Provide monthly reports on guest satisfaction and revenues as well as implement plans for improvement through continual training initiatives provided by Wyndham Hotels.
Effectively coordinate with The Funplex Mount Laurel operational team to ensure outstanding service for all Stay-N-Play guests.
Must be able to achieve the highest guest experience scores and uphold all Brand standards Ensure staffing levels are met, recruitment, hiring and training of new staff Requirements 6
years of Hotel Management Experience (Wyndham experience preferred), or 4 Years with a College Degree.
