The Business Intelligence Developer III builds, tests, reviews and administers content related to enterprise class reporting and business intelligence tools.
The business intelligence developer needs to have the technical expertise identified below along with the ability to provide strategic solutions when there are technical challenges presented or identified. This role is a combination of someone who is a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and technically savvy.
This individual is responsible for representing the Information
management
and Development Group as a Subject Matter
expert
in projects related to data repositories and report generation for a line of business with an understanding of the enterprise impact of the development effort.
Responsibilities will include leading the translation of business requirements into an actionable reporting / data repository implementations. Such functions would include working alongside the other Information Management and Development subgroups during a project to help ensure the physical design meets the functional and performance requirements of the end-user application.
He / she will leverage major information architecture platforms and the experience of the Information Management & Development Group to lead in the application of the best alternatives for a reporting / data repository solution.
By maintaining current awareness of strategic reporting and information platforms in the marketplace at at TD Bank, he/she will identify capabilities and features of each project solution and translate those through detailed documentation and communication with the Information Management & Development Group as well as the rest of Information Technology as needed as a Subject Matter Expert.
He/she will be asked to support and administer Business Intelligence applications and content, including report publication, user administration, application service support, and ongoing application maintenance.
In general, he / she should be comfortable discussing information architecture concepts, disciplines and
practices
as they relate to reporting and data repositories as a Subject Matter Expert. He / she will help to define and promote best practices on report and universe development and management.
He/she should be able lead in applying business and application knowledge to understand the overall reporting / data model to ensure its appropriate placement within the TD Bank IT infrastructure.
Tactically, this individual should be able to develop detailed design specifications and unit test plans as well as report development specifications.
He / she should have the capability to address business support issues as needed and understand the pre-existing development efforts quickly in order to address necessary modifications.
This individual should be able to professionally design, implement, and support operational and Business Intelligence reporting including universe maintenance and design as well as report analysis and development as a Subject Matter Expert.
Should have the capability to lead and execute technology projects or
services
initiatives of moderate or large size complexity and impact.
Qualifications
BA/BS or higher degree in
computer
Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience

years related Business Objects development and administration experience required
SAP Business Objects current version - all content development products
SAP Business Objects - Strong experience working within administration CMC
SAP Business Objects - Strong experience with Crystal Reports and Web Intelligence
Demonstrated leadership in previous experience with several examples
Strong written and verbal communication skills that can be utilized across regions and countries
In-depth knowledge of front-end tool development and data access processes and procedures
Detailed knowledge of graphical display applications and reporting tools
Ability to design, develop, and test reports with analytical tools
Demonstrated ability to translate technical specifications through the use of functional reporting tools
Ability to prioritize competing demands according to business needs
