Contract to Hire or Full-Time Drupal Development Opportunity
The Web Engineer is responsible for developing Drupal projects using Drupal best practices in Drupal 6 and 7, maintain and support existing code, and develop custom modules and solutions in PHP and Javascript.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow Drupal coding best practices
Write custom code in PHP and Javascript
Maintain and develop code base and integration at a high level
Deliver all functionality in code via Features following Department best practices
Demonstrate expertise in GIt and follow department standards for code versioning and deployment using GitHub
Define technical requirements as needed for user-definable features
Provide accurate work estimates and deliver code in a timely fashion
Interface professionally with the Web Department's project management suite
Provide accurate and sufficient documentation and comments for custom code
Deliver code that has been given a QA pass and is free of obvious bugs and errors
Code Review of team member code according to best practices and project requirements

MEASUREMENT OF SUCCESS
The employee will have met a high level of competence and success when they have been able to demonstrate expertise in their understanding of the Drupal system architecture while successfully manipulating it to deliver a high level of value to customers via the Drupal CMF. This will entail management of the integration via custom modules and SDK, ensuring all code is managed and versioned as Drupal Features, as well as writing custom code and Drupal modules as needed to deliver value and extend the platform deliverable.
Good overall performance is also demonstrated by meeting, or improving upon, estimates set for individual product features.
In addition to the above, performance will be measured by the employee's ability to innovate solutions as necessary, that either save time in developing tasks or improve workflow to allow maintenance or additional sophistication to be applied to the process. An emphasis is placed on continual process improvement, writing code of a fine quality, and delivering customer value.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE/REQUIRED PROFICIENCIES
Bachelors degree required or a minimum of 7 years related industry experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written form with management, internal and external customers.
REASONING ABILITY
Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues.

This position may require travel. This may include the ability to drive a car or travel on public transportation such as trains and airplanes.

Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist or lifting to move or access materials throughout the work day. Proper lifting techniques required. May include lifting up to 25 pounds for files, presentation equipment/documents and computer printouts on certain occasions.
Vision acuity: duties may require the ability to identify and discern colors accurately, to focus and see both close up and far away.
Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
