Job Description
The Technical Project Manager II provides leadership, direction and management to the Deployment group within the IT Technical Services & Support area. This position manages the coordination and implementation of enterprise software and hardware projects.
Job Requirements
Leads discoverydeployment projects
Interfaces with Subject Matter Expert and additional Migration Teams
Responsible for the building and improving the deployment process
Participates in the selection, placement, and orientation of new staff members; manage the performance, training requirements, and development of staff
Helps coordinate deployment projects between Technology Department and multiple Lines of Business
Requires being accessible via pager and/or cell phone
Tracks deployment issues and resolutions. Modifies process to minimize issues
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience
8-10 yrs prior experience as an IT system administrator, system engineer, application developer or system analyst is required
1-3 yrs. management experience required
Must be able to work after hours and weekends as needed. Some overnight work is required
Industry or technical vendor certification a plus
Strong knowledge of technology infrastructure, including but not limited to operating systems, data communications, network security, storage technologies, relational databases, Web and service oriented architecture, system monitoring, thin and thick client installation, software packaging deployment, applications dependencies, ApplicationDevelopment Life Cycle
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills in both the technical and managerial levels
Excellent project management skills
